Description

Dual Lens for FLIR Exx, T5xx and T8xx Cameras

The FlexView dual lens is designed for the FLIR T500 Series, T800 Series, and Exx series IR cameras. You never have to change your lens in the field again. With the push of a button, the FLIR FlexView lens allows you to instantly switch from a 24° wide view for scene context to 14° telephoto for an accurate temperature measurement.

Compatible FLIR Thermal Imaging Cameras

The FLIR T300587 FlexView features a 14° and 24° IR lens with f=17/29 mm.

This dual lens is designed to work with these handheld thermal imaging cameras:

Dual FOV Lens Enhances Field Inspections

The Teledyne FLIR FlexView dual field-of-view (DFOV) lens is designed for the FLIR Exx, T5xx, and T8xx Series thermography cameras.

With a single form factor just 6mm longer than the standard single-lens setup, operators now can have two lenses without adding lens weight. This dual lens solution provides smoother camera operation and reduces field inspection time.

FlexView also offers fully radiometric performance and imaging quality, resulting in the ability to measure and record the temperature of every pixel in the scene for improved decision support.

The 24-degree wider field-of-view lens within the FlexView offers wide area scanning to detect potential anomalies. The narrower 14-degree field of view delivers pinpoint accuracy with 2.8 times as many pixels on target thanks to the increased optical zoom.

More pixels on target means greater accuracy. This is all achieved via software for fixed cameras, or a simple press of a button for portable cameras.

Begin flexview survey

Begin your thermal imaging survey by viewing the entire location using the 24 degree wide FOV lens.

Detect thermal hotspot with flexview

When you discover a thermal hot spot you can switch FOV.

Press the FlexView lens button to switch to the 14 degree telephoto FOV. You can then take precise measurements without moving closer to the object, or having to change lenses.

Reduced Lens Damage in the Field

The FlexView DFOV Lens eliminates the risk of lens or camera damage during lens changeover. Fewer lens changes means that users are less likely to damage sensitive camera parts while staying focused on the task at hand.

With the ability to get more pixels on target versus a single lens system, operators can also increase the distance between themselves and potentially dangerous equipment. This will help the operator avoid arch flashes or exposure to compromised equipment all without sacrificing accuracy or missing potential issues.

FLIR FlexView T300587 Dual Lens for Thermal Cameras

The FLIR FlexView Dual Field of View (DFOV) 24°/14° lens is designed for detailed thermal camera inspections of smaller or more distant targets. With the ability to switch between a standard 24° and a telephoto 14° FOV, this lens improves image clarity. This lens is perfect for analysing higher risk objects at safer distances, such as electrical bus, robotic welders, or overhead connections.

FLIR Dual Lens Options for FLIR Exx, T5xx and T8xx Thermal Cameras

FLIR dual lenses are ideal for users who don’t want to carry spare lenses in the field. With the push of a button, dual lens allow you to instantly switch from wide view for scene context to telephoto to zoom in on thermal hot spots.

The FLIR FlexView T300587 offers a 24° wide angle lens and a 14° telephoto lens. The FlexView T300954 offers 42° an extra wide angle lens and a 24° telephoto lens to assess a scene at a larger scale.

Both FlexView lenses work with the FLIR T500 Series, T800 Series, and Exx Series IR cameras including:

FLIR Dual Field of View Lenses

Never risk dropping a lens again. With the push of a button, FLIR FlexView DFOV lenses let you switch between wide and narrow lenses in a second.

Use wide-field for tight spaces and target context and switch to narrow to put more pixels on target.

What is Thermal Fusion in IR Cameras?

Thermal fusion is a valuable tool in electrical, mechanical, building and other inspections because it combines the heat-detecting power of infrared images with the clarity of visible light images. This feature allows folks who are not used to seeing a thermography report be able to see the infrared image more easily against the background image captured by
